Remembrance Sunday 2025

A short service of Remembrance for all the people and animals who gave their lives in service to our country took place in Rosemarket on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November.

The event, organised by St Ismael’s Church and Rosemarket Local History Society (RLHS) is now in its fifth year. Usually held in the church grounds, the weather had other ideas and this year’s event took place inside St Ismael’s Church.

Rev Paul Davies led a traditional Act of Remembrance, with wreaths being laid on behalf of St Ismael’s Church (Ashley Warlow), RLHS (Terry Maddison), Rosemarket Community Council (Jackie Prest) and Pembrokeshire County Council (County Councillor Danny Young).

The Last Post and The Rouse was once again performed by village resident, Stuart Gray on trumpet with members of the community also delivering the readings (Robin Pearce, Ashley Warlow and Terry Maddison).

Thank you to everyone involved in organising, participating and attending today’s event, including Steve Bessant for technical support and Antony Haley for capturing the occasion in photographs.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.
