The Burton and Rosemarket In Touch newsletter launched in January 2000, with Issue 1. This first edition was A4 portrait in format and 8 pages in length.
The front page featured the appointment of the Reverend Michael Williams to serve as Rector of Rosemarket as well as the news that St Ismael’s Church had been awarded grants from the National Lottery and the Headley Trust, with further details of a fantastic fundraising campaign featured inside.
Advance notice of events and activities being held at Rosemarket Village Hall also featured in this edition. This included regular occurrences such as the Wednesday Club, Bingo and meetings of Rosemarket Community Council, as well as other activities such as a Body Shop & Make-Over event and a Cawl Supper / Social Evening.
There was also a notice advising residents of the forthcoming public meeting about the future of the Village Hall, being held in conjunction with the Annual General Meeting of the Village Hall Committee.
Pembrokeshire Archives has paper copies of issues 1 – 31 of the In Touch newsletters (in their Local Studies files). If you would like to view these in person, please contact the friendly team at Pembrokeshire Archives to make an appointment.
