Two events organised by St Ismael’s Church and Rosemarket Local History Society (RLHS) were held to remember the fallen today, 10th November 2024.
St Ismael’s Church
Arch Deacon Mones Farrah led a traditional Act of Remembrance within the Celebration of Holy Communion, with wreaths being laid on behalf of St Ismael’s Church (David Barrah), RLHS (Ashley Warlow), Rosemarket Community Council (Jackie Prest) and Pembrokeshire County Council (County Councillor Danny Young).

The church service was followed by a short service of Remembrance for all the people and animals who gave their lives in service to our country. Now in its fourth year, this special event honours military personnel from Rosemarket who fell in both world wars, their names being read out.
The Last Post was performed by Stuart Gray on trumpet and members of the community also delivered the readings: The Beatitudes (Ashley Warlow); Field of Poppies (Robin Pearce) and The Soldier (Terry Maddison).
Thank you to everyone involved in organising today’s event: especially to Arch Deacon Mones Farrah for travelling such a long distance to be with us; Stuart Gray for making the event all the more poignant with his performances of The Last Post and The Rouse; Steve Bessant for technical support; Tracy Jane Ashcroft and Caroline Haley for event co-ordination, and Antony Haley for capturing the occasion in photographs.
Thank you to the community of Rosemarket for their support and attendance at today’s events.
