Fox seeks Sanctuary in the Rosemarket Rectory.

16th November 1906

PEMBROKESHIRE HOUNDS EXCITlNG RUN.

The Pembrokeshire Hounds (Lord Kensington) last weekend had the run of the season, and with quite a dramatic finish.

Starting from Rosemarket a fox put up an excellent run towards Johnston and doubled back to Cranham Moor.

The hounds were in fine form, and ran their quarry so hard, that at the end of thirty minutes Reynard was quite spent.

To everyone's astonishment the fox dashed into Rosemarket Rectory, where he dashed about the dining room.

The scrimmage which ensued must have reminded the rector, the Rev. Atterbury Thomas, of his old football days.

Reynard was routed, but he had not a run left, and was soon bowled over by the hounds.
