Rosemarket Local History Society organised a private visit to the Museum of Scrimpinology in nearby Llangwm on the afternoon of Saturday 1st July. A fascinating collection of artefacts covering a wide range of topics and eras, the museum is not open to the public. The owners, Pat & Jeff James, invite a select number of groups and their guests for one week each year. 2023 is the final year the owners plan to open the museum and so we were amongst the last to see the collection in one place.
All 25 places were taken and a wonderful afternoon was had by all. Not only the amazing collection Jeff has amassed over the last two decades, but the stories and memories shared helped bring it to life alongside insightful talks and presentations. Here we share feedback from some of those who attended, as well as a selection of photos from the afternoon.
