Rosemarket Local History Society and St Ismael’s Church once again organised a service of remembrance in the church grounds on 13th November for the community. This popular outdoor service was also attended by village residents, County Councillor Danny Young and representatives of Rosemarket Community Council. We all came together to remember those soldiers from Rosemarket parish that served.
The contribution of animals in war was also recognised, with several village dogs in attendance, including Ingrid, our mascot.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old;
age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning,
we will remember them.
